IMO Acquisition To Create World's Leading Car Wash Group

The group was established by a private entrepreneur in 1965. In 1988 Bridgepoint capital led an institutional buy-out acquiring the UK and European business.
In 2002 IMO re-acquired the orginal German operations from Harpen AG and the enlarged business was acquired by JP Morgan.
In March 2006 The Carlyle Group acquired the business.
